The fruits of a meeting between a scientist’s dream and a unique terroirin Bairrada, the wines of Luís Gomes have witnessed a noble and notorious way among the wine enthusiasts, the critic and the region fans.

Harvest
Manual carried out on the 8th of September 2020. Cultivation from centenary vineyards in limestone soils, with a planting date prior to 1930, where the Baga variety predominates.
 
Vinification
Grapes lightly pressed with whole bunch. Resulting must was fermented in used barrels, followed by regular batonage until bottling in June 2021. Tartaric and protein stabilization achieved naturally during an extended aging period of 10 months in barrels. Performed FML. 1450 bottles were produced.

It is simultaneously a deep, structured and complex wine.

Rich white meat dishes. Rice and seafood pasta. Excellent to accompany Sushi.

Aromas of red fruit, floral. Suggestions of vanilla, brioche and spice add aromatic complexity.

In the mouth it shows to be an elegant wine, full of minerality and freshness, reflecting well the calcareous soils from which it comes.
